Clay Work
Los Muertitos de San Cristobal

I began making figures for Day of the Dead. As they took shape, their stories began to appear in my mind as well, as if they wanted the world to know who they were, how they had lived and died. So I wrote a book with the stories of the first nine figures that emerged.

They are from 6 to 10 inches tall.

I have made other figures since then but these first ones remain special for speaking to me. They are archetypes.
